Drying Blind

Freeze drying has always been a black box process. You load your product, start the machine, and hope for the best 36 hours later. For industries like solventless extraction, this approach was leading to catastrophic losses.

We came from the hash world. We'd seen too many producers lose entire batches worth $50,000 or more due to undetected freeze dryer malfunctions.

The need was clear: people needed a way to know what was happening with their machines, no matter where they were.

Building the Solution

We created HashyLink - a device you can plug into your Harvest Right in about five minutes. It connects to a phone app that lets you see what's happening from any device - laptop, phone, or tablet.

Some people were using cameras as a workaround, but that only told you when a batch was done. It couldn't alert you if something went wrong. And who wants to stare at a video feed all day?

Once we started giving people this window into their freeze dryers, they wanted to know more. It wasn't just about catching errors anymore.
